What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of behavior and learning. It helps us understand how behavior works, how behavior is affected by the environment, and how learning takes place. The goal during ABA sessions is to teach social, language, and communication skills. ABA is a flexible treatment that can also help increase language acquisition and development, functional communication, increase emotional regulation and teach adaptive behavior skills. Furthermore, ABA supports children with behavior and self awareness, play and social skills, adaptive skills, and speech.
